MATERIALS / QUALITY / MARKET READINESS

Match the material
to the requirement.

This planning guide explains how candidate materials, production capabilities, quality checkpoints and destination-market documents are matched to the final design and selected manufacturing partners.

01 / MANUFACTURING ROUTES

Two routes.
One review standard.

WASD TOYS scalable molded production and flexible 3D custom development routes
Manufacturing-route concept · product geometry, materials and production capability are confirmed after design review.
SCALABLE PRODUCTION

Molded & printed

For repeatable retail and wholesale programs. Tooling, molding, decoration, assembly and packaging are evaluated as one production system.

  • Stable repeat production
  • Color and artwork programs
  • Retail packaging options
  • Final capability confirmed after design review
FLEXIBLE DEVELOPMENT

3D custom studio

For shape exploration, prototypes and selected small-batch concepts. Print method and material are chosen around geometry, finish and use case.

  • Fast concept iteration
  • Custom modeled forms
  • Small-batch evaluation
  • Durability and compliance scope confirmed per design
02 / MATERIAL FRAMEWORK

Specify by function,
not assumption.

These are candidate material families, not fixed promises. The final specification follows sample testing and supplier confirmation.

03 / CONTROLLED WORKFLOW

From idea to approved batch.

Development workflow concept · packaging, tolerances and production details are confirmed after design review.
01

Design review

Confirm use case, target market, geometry, colors and the intended manufacturing route.

02

Material selection

Match candidate materials to finish, durability, volume and compliance requirements.

03

Prototype & sample

Build and evaluate appearance, fit, press travel, sound and assembly logic.

04

Pre-production approval

Freeze the approved sample, artwork, packaging and quality checkpoints.

05

Production & QC

Inspect appearance, assembly, function and packaging against the approved reference.

06

Testing & documents

Arrange applicable laboratory testing and export documents for the destination market.

04 / MARKET READINESS

Compliance starts with
the final product.

Testing is determined by product classification, materials, age grading, packaging, sales claims and destination. Reports shown on the site apply only to the models identified on those documents.

US

ASTM F963 / CPSIA review

Classification, age grading, small-parts warning and required certificates depend on the final product and sales claim.

Scope confirmed after design review
EU

Toy Safety / EN 71 / REACH review

Testing scope, CE documentation, importer responsibilities and local-language warnings are assessed after design approval.

Scope confirmed after design review
UK

UK toy-safety review

The final conformity route, responsible party and labeling depend on the product classification and current market rules.

Scope confirmed after design review
Other markets

Destination-specific review

EAEU, Latin America and other markets may require local importers, filings, reports or translated warnings.

Small-parts and packaging review concept · final attachment method, warnings and packaging are confirmed for the approved product.
05 / SAFETY & LABELING

Small parts need clear communication.

Mechanical click toys and keychain products may contain detachable or internal small components. Age grading, choking-hazard language, traceability marks and translated warnings must be finalized for the approved product and target market.

06 / PROJECT DOCUMENTS

Evidence matched
to the product.

Documents are requested or arranged according to the final model, material, selected partner and destination. No facility certificate or test report is presented as covering the entire network.

MATERIAL REPORTS

Matched during review

Available supplier declarations and applicable material reports are checked against the selected component and partner.

PRODUCT TESTING

Project-specific scope

Testing is arranged according to product classification, target market, age grade and final construction.

FACTORY & QC RECORDS

Shared during review

Applicable audit, inspection and batch records can be reviewed with qualified buyers when available.

07 / BUYER FAQ

What buyers should confirm.

Can you confirm the exact material now?

Candidate materials can be discussed immediately. The final resin, print material, hardware and finish are confirmed after the design and supplier review.

Are 3D-printed products only prototypes?

No. They can also support selected small-batch products, but suitability depends on geometry, finish, durability, volume and the destination-market requirements.

Do certificates cover every product?

No. A report applies only to the product, model, material and scope identified in that document. New constructions may require new or supplementary testing.

What should a project brief include?

Send the target market, quantity, use case, preferred shape, colors, packaging, age positioning and launch timing so the correct production and compliance route can be reviewed.
